Discussion 2
Effective communication can build or destroy interpersonal relationships.
How is it demonstrated in each of the pictures above?
On aspect that stand out is non verbal communication. On the left, the conversation is lively and duplex while on the right the conversation is one way making it dull and authoritative.
In the picture that is on the right, the man looks like he is yelling at the lady. This may interfere with their relationship since we all know that everyone loves it when they are given a chance to express themselves and not just yelled at.
In the first picture, from the non-verbal cues, you can tell that they are coming up with a solution and trying to move forward while in the second picture, the man looks like he is shouting at the lady and probably bringing up wrongs of the past. This will not help them move forward.
In the first picture, where the mother and daughter are communicating politely, it demonstrates positive communication. Both parties are likely listening to each other, showing respect, and fostering understanding, which strengthens their relationship.
In the second picture, a man is quarreling the lady, which reflects poor communication. The tone likely leads to misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and a breakdown in the relationship, illustrating how ineffective communication can damage connections.
In the second picture, a man is quarreling the lady, which reflects poor communication. The tone likely leads to misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and a breakdown in the relationship, illustrating how ineffective communication can damage connections.
On the right, the conversation seems positive and engaging while on the left, the conversation seems one sided with the man talking down to the person which may end up being ineffective.
In the first image, the interaction appears warm and cooperative, with both individuals engaged equally, which promotes a respectful and balanced exchange. In contrast, the second image shows one person dominating the conversation in a confrontational manner, which likely hinders open communication. This kind of approach can lead to feelings of frustration and a breakdown in understanding, as it doesn’t give the other person a chance to express their viewpoint. Effective communication, especially non-verbal cues, plays a crucial role in fostering positive interactions and building strong relationships.
In the first picture on the left, effective communication is demonstrated positively. The mother and her child appear engaged and attentive, with one person listening closely to the other, suggesting a supportive and open interaction that can strengthen their relationship.
In the second picture on the right, communication seems negative and confrontational. One person is pointing and expressing anger, while the other appears distressed, possibly feeling attacked.
In the second picture on the right, communication seems negative and confrontational. One person is pointing and expressing anger, while the other appears distressed, possibly feeling attacked.
In the picture on the left, there seems to be open, free and healthy communication where both parties are able to express themselves while maintaining respect and love. While on the picture on the right there seems to be an accusatory, harsh and demeaning conversation taking place, in which not all the parties have a stake in the conversation. Mutual respect and regard for one's feelings does not seem to be upheld.
On the left, effective communication is demonstrated positively. The two individuals appear to be engaged in a friendly conversation. Their facial expressions and body language suggest active engagement and understanding,
In the second image on the right, poor communication is evident. The man appears to be angrily pointing at the woman, while she looks upset and possibly defenseless.
In the second image on the right, poor communication is evident. The man appears to be angrily pointing at the woman, while she looks upset and possibly defenseless.
In the first picture, communication between the two ladies is efficient and positive. It seems the girl in yellow is asking a series of queries, and the lady in green is politely answering them. In the second picture, the man is aggressive with his communication. The woman seems passive and defenseless while the man is sternly speaking to her.
On the first picture, effective communication is well demonstrated such that, the mother caution her daughter on a certain thing she missed to attend to, and the daughter automatically recalls.
From the first picture, there's an open and positive communication as shown when each member can express themselves freely and be heard.
The second picture shows dominance and a possible emotional abuse from each side therefore resulting to a negative outcome.

in the picture on the left, the mother and daughter are communicating effectively and politely. They seem to be discussing about something and the daughter seems to be actively listening and understanding, which motivates the mother to continue speaking. This may strengthen there relationship to a stronger one with unbreakable bond.
the picture on the right hand, man seems to be commanding the land which is authoritative and dominance and this is not power, the lady seems to be sad its like she is " hearing" in court. this communication is ineffective and can lead to hurt of feelings, the lady feeling less of herself and break up.

From these two images i would highlight on their body language, from the second image clearly she is being scolded and she's looking distraught by how she's being addressed.
